Chop wood. Carry water.

Like most Canadian kids, I grew up wanting to lace my skates in the NHL. But after being on the receiving end of my first bodycheck, I put that dream on hold and went back to being a long time listener, first time caller kind of fan.

After earning my undergraduate degree in psychology, I was left uncertain about what I wanted next. Every avenue I explored would end the same, "Like it, don't love it." So I continued to work odd jobs until I caught a break and landed a part-time job as a shotlister for Hockey Night in Canada. It didn't take long before I was working inside the infamous Studio 42, within earshot of on-air broadcasters reporting facts and telling stories, captivating audiences with their every word. It was there, I knew this was going to be my future.

Fast forward to after earning a degree in broadcast journalism, it was time for me to pay my dues. I moved to Fort St. John, British Columbia (some place really far North) for a gig as a Sports & News Reporter with CJDC-TV. A valuable and memorable experience which has acted as a spring board.

Continuing the journey, I now reside in Winnipeg, Manitoba as a Reporter and Backfill Sports Anchor with CTV News.

Be authentic. Be real. Be you!
